The first Sazon is in Rockland County in New City and is well-known with foodies. Online reviewers give five-star reviews for their spicy, flavorful dishes that take diners to the islands.

A new Sazon in Stony Point offers the same dishes and service (which reviewers say is excellent) at 32 S Liberty Drive.

According to online reviewers, if you are unfamiliar with the cuisine, be adventurous and try something new. Some favorites include the Mofongo, or fried plantains, mashed with bacon, salt, garlic, and butter, topped with several meat and seafood choices, cream sauce or traditional salsa criolla sauce, and, of course, fried empanadas of all kinds.

Others choose fresh seafood such as lobster, fish, and crab cakes, and still others opt for the cheesy steak sandwich or the Cuban sandwich.

The menu offers a lot, and the prices are medium to high for seafood and steak items.

One Yelper Will E. said: "So happy to see this place open up in Stony Point. Their New City location has always been a five-star, and now, with all the entertainment there, it should succeed immensely. The smaller store in Stony Point does not disappoint. Their dishes are just as good as New City's, the staff is awesome, and the restaurant is small but comfortable. Prepare to wait on the weekends as the place does get busy but don't pass it up, it is well worth it."

Family-friendly, lots of fun, and good drinks, online reviewers say.

The restaurant is closed on Mondays. Offers big brunch on Sundays. To go offered.
